Chaps,

There is a metallic grey left hand drive Flavia 2000 in the forthcoming auction at Historics Auctions Brooklands on the 12th December, it is registered RJI 4214.
Does anyone know of the car or have any information about it as I am interested in going down to view it.

Thanks in advance,

Bob

Other than it has a Co Tyrone, seemingly age related registration (assuming imported from Italy etc), normally only issued to cars registered for first time by an N Ireland owner, I've nothing else to add!

Seems very cheap estimated price?

It is one of a group of four Flavia / 2000s. They can be seen on e-bay.uk at prices from £23.000 for a fantastic 1963 Flavia Coupe to £4,000 for a tidyish 1968 Flavia Coupe. All prices are auction estimates. The whole thing seems a bit odd to me as the range of prices looks out of kilter with the condition of the cars and the 2000 is described as an automatic but is pictured with a manual gear change. The write up on the 2000 says it has had work done by Omicron so I would definitely speak to them.

I suspect estimated, so very low to garner interest by auction House, happens quite often

Chaps,

I have spoken to Andrew at Omicron and they did indeed do some work on the car, but the last time they saw it was in 2001, so almost twenty years ago !
Clearly any reference to the visits to them are worthless after all this time, so I’m not sure if I want to pursue it any further.

The impression I got is that the four cars are from the same deceased's estate so if the best Flavia is worth £23,000 the previous owner would seem to have known something about what he was doing. I wouldn't necessarily be put off by the over blown advertising blurb. If it's not out of your way it can't hurt to take a look (famous last words).

Dear all,

I was the lucky bidder and winner of this car. It was driven from the UK to Malta shortly afterwards, 24 hours before the borders closed due to 'COVID variants'.. She's been great so far, we're very happy with her.

Cheers!
