I need to replace the oil pump, timing chain, and timing chain tensioner on my (1968) Flavia PF coupe 1.8 iniezione. Does anyone have any experience of fitting a modern pump and chain tensioner rather than trying to source OEM parts for this purpose? I am assuming that a timing chain can be modern, provided it is of the right dimensions, but am unsure whether there are modern equivalents for the oil pump or the tensioner. Any thoughts gratefully received.
