The Lancia Aurelia B20 GT came from humble beginnings.

First line of advert, anyone agree?

5000 hours work.

POA too.

5000 hours sounds like two man years of work which given the standard they work to and that they are said to start with something not worth restoring it seems probable to me.

My opinion is undivided - it's ugly. However if in truth they started with a heap rather than destroying  a good car I have no problem with the project. I don't know their hourly rate but at a guess there's probably over half a million pounds in it - good luck seller.

Apart from the steering wheel I rather like it. I suspect it would be a hoot to drive

Sadly the price is like to be astronomical....

Dare I say that I like it! But on the basis that I'd have to ask and if you have to ask you can't afford it, I won't be buying it this week.

I thought prices were being quoted  when they were first revealed. I seem to recall something like five or seven hundred thousand pounds.
