THE AUTO ITALIA, ITALIAN CAR DAY AT BROOKLANDS
July 18th - PROVISIONAL and subject to government guidelines
With near-capacity attendance at our annual Italian Car Day at Brooklands in 2019 we were expecting a similar turnout in 2020, but for the first time in 34 years the event was cancelled due to the pandemic. Looking forward to the 2021 season and hopefully the control of Covid-19, we have a new date of Sunday 18th of July for the UK’s most popular all-Italian car event. This date replaces our traditional early May Bank Holiday weekend and is a provisional date. Please check the websites for confirmation and ticket information.

No update on the Brooklands web site, I have contacted Auto Italia direct on the show details they are yet to respond to me, but it appears to be still on in July.
(please note it is a Sunday not a Saturday event as usual)

An update received from Auto Italia, please note access to the event will be by pre-booked tickets only.   (I have requested a club area, if you think you may attend please can you let me know for numbers)

Auto Italia at Brooklands
Sunday July 18th

With near capacity attendance at our annual Brooklands Auto Italia event in 2019 we were expecting a similar turnout in 2020, but for the first time in 34 years the event was cancelled due to the pandemic.

Auto Italia met with Brooklands recently and it was decided that the track demonstration at Mercedes-Benz World would not go ahead due to uncertainty over the lifting of UK Covid restrictions on June 21st.

As a result this year’s event will be a static display only.

Access to the event will be by pre-booked tickets only. It is expected that on-line booking at www.brooklandsmuseum.com will be available from June 14th.

Thanks Neil,
Do you know if they are restricting the numbers?

Brian, not that I’m aware of at this time, but pre-booking tickets might well do that.

Latest update from Auto Italia:

Due to the extended Covid restrictions imposed by the government, Brooklands have decided that we will not be able to run a meaningful event on July 18th.

Now 10th October, if you believe that the Government will EVER allow a return to normality (I am sceptical about that).

I would imagine there is a Lancia area, unfortunately the organisers have not responded to mails sent earlier this year. I am not planning to attend this year.
