I can only reiterate unless the system is entirely new I would not use Silicon. The Moss article seems to find the use of Silicon acceptable in a classic car subject to the above.... Any my experience is the same. It is something to seriously consider when doing a ground up restoration.

On the topic of S1 callipers, has anyone tried the replacements made by Zeus for Dunlop-braked Jaguars (assuming they are compatible)?
