I have put this in general chat to reach a wider audience !

Can anyone recommend a supplier/manufacturer of felt and/or other materials for seals ?? Aprilias and other pre-Flaminia Lancias use a variety of non-rubber seals for dust-proofing or grease retaining, whether for wheel bearings or driveshaft seals and so on

I am searching and contacting but a recommendation would be great !

When I bought a replacement felt wheel bearing seal for my B12 from Cavallitto a white (ptfe?) plastic item arrived. Seems that even Cavallitto goes modern.....

For the Lambda I already made several seals with the white rectangular cord, it is available in different square sizes from a my bearing supplier, will try not to forget to make a picture tomorrow.

For the felt seals in the aurelia, which were few, I was lucky enough to get a sample for free from a company specializing in 'technical felt'.  They can make al sorts of rings and shapes, but setting up is costly so for small numbers just isn't economical.  I made punches by sharpening pieces of suitable iron tube to cut the seals out....

Thanks for the suggestions - I like the idea of sharpened tube. Maybe then use the press to cut them out , or does it need a "punch" ??
