Can anyone tell me if the door cards on S1 and S2 berlinas are interchangeable ? What about the rear seats as well ?

I suspect not !

Thanks

What are you up to I wonder?
I would guess they are interchangeable.

Simon,
Same doors shellsI think? But door handles, pulls, winders different.
Not sure about the back seats as the legroom was improved, if you compare the distance on a series 1 and 2 between the rear windscreen and the boot lid, it's shorter on the series two where they gained a bit of room, front seats I can't see why not, Richard Fridd fitted a pair of Rover armchairs in a series 2  so I don't see why not.

Thanks - I ask the question because I am "toying with" the idea of fitting a radio hidden in the glove compartment, but as mentioned elsewhere, what to do with the speakers ??

There is a set of second hand door cards available here with the possibility of fitting speakers, but they are S2 and I don't want to touch my as-new originals !

I use my Bose Bluetooth speaker and place it on the rear parcel shelf of my Berlina 2c. Good sound without the angst of installing speakers.

It’s a long time since I had a Fulvia sedan, but I seem to remember there are speaker holes in the front kick panels in front of the doors.

I had this conundrum when at one time I considered fitting a radio, before I decided not to bother and listen to that lovely V4 instead.
I think a small pair of modern speaker will fit in the footwell high enough up not to be noticeable
I'm sure at one time I've wseen speakers that fitted under the seat.
I suppose it all depends what quality of sound you want.

Brian , I understand your point entirely

It is the first "old" car I have ever considered fitting a radio to because it is just so nice, "quiet" and comfortable, and when are "en-famille" for any distance, Mathilda wants music !

Maybe I'll just stick to an iPhone, bluetooth and a JBL on the parcel shelf - and another hidden power point ??

If the music is only for her (memories of "Let it Go" on repeat Grin) but headphones are too antisocial this sort of thing might be a solution:

...or she has headphones but you have a bluetooth single ear hands free for your phone so you can call her when approaching services or when the view is unmissable or she needs to pass you something or check the map...

...or a jab in the ribs !

The battery life on speakers and the power in USB booster batteries has gone up a lot, maybe the power point isn't needed.  Am remembering the effort some took to wire their houses with computer networks just before it all went wireless.

Jay's speaker and amp and battery hidden inside a period suitcase is rather lovely, a project like that would be as easy as messing with door cards and seats and you could move it between cars (do you have another classic?!!!!!?) and take it on picnics or round the garden or lunch time at the vines.

I bought a small power amplifier that can be stashed away in the glove box, this then hooks up to a pair of speakers and an MP3 player.
All you would then need somewhere is a single small jack plug socket, as an alternative to a radio.
I bet your daughter has something that could be plugged into it, so she can play her own music!

Plugged in?

Some phones these days don't even have a headphone socket.  Wireless charging is a thing now as well.
