I also spotted a nice red Fulvia coupe on an episode of the Sweeney, KFG 246P which is apparently not on the road anymore, did anyone own it on here?

Off topic - but Richard Hammond when he's having a (relative) day off. I found it quite endearing where usually (on the finished shows) its a bit of a cringe. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9R8wTr5nSAghttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JKzOeXAGVegHopefully over time we'll get longer cuts or a more informal edit of shows like these. The rest of the family won't sit through them and cry at the end but it should be possible... Dr Who reached a point where I'd not watch the show but I enjoyed the "making of".

Back to Car SOS - haven't seen the episode and with FreeView it will be a while...unless...
...the internet offered me a free trial for 7 days or three weeks or something of that channel. Can I find the link now? There was also a link to what I think must have been a naughty pirate thing as by the time I got round to following it the episode was gone.

Intersting to see longer videos there, the obsession with making the shows more about the family than the car is understandable from a TV point of view, but I'd rather see more about the car! Some American car TV shows are better, they don't all profess to build a car in a few weeks. Fantomworks is a particular favourite as they show the progress and how many days it's been with them, a much more realistic time schedule. https://fantomworks.com/Iron Resurrection another https://discoverystudios.com/shows/iron-resurrection/One that used to be good, the guy had exceptional knowledge of the Plymouth Baracuda.. https://www.graveyardcarz.com/

I binged out on Friday as car SOS was showing all day, caught up on about 7 episodes, and watched the Fulvia one again. Brian 8227

For those interested, there is plenty of free software out there that will allow you to rip the video and save locally, which is what I did with the Fulvia episode last night.

The daily motion link worked like a charm. Got the family to watch about 15% of it as well.

Thanks, that was a nice episode. I also saw the Espada and integrale ones recently so a good sequence.

There are some outtakes listed on Facebook.
One of them has a lot more at Dave Ashworth's (very interesting) and the other is Fuzz trying to dis-assemble the engine (horror). The latter stops short of saying what they did to get a running engine again....

I had a chance to watch this yesterday - entertainment , not technical !
But I did like the vacuum tester that Fuzz used - a disk on a tube attached to a vacuum pump and gauge
Does anyone know more about them ?
ps why did he take the block off with pistons still in ??

And the head with cam wheels and cam chain still attached.... I am reliably informed that Fuzz did not do the rebuild.

Simon I didn`t see the video ( couldn`t find it, where?) but I have used a Mityvac for years, checking for air leaks and testing vacuum operated door locks etc. Is that what you refer to? I hopefully have attached some photos. John
