Chaps,

I am looking to replace all four tyres on my 815 Coupe as the ones on it are fourteen years old.

They are the ones that were on the car when I bought the car eight years ago, and are some french make that I’ve never heard of in 165 - 15 size.

Does anyone have any recommendations ?

Thanks,

Bob

Tim,

That sounds to be the answer so I’ll give them a ring right now. Hopefully it will make the steering a little lighter, which will help as I am going into The Oaks in a couple of weeks for a major shoulder operation.

Thanks,

Bob

Tim,

Thanks for that, just ordered four tyres, £666.00 delivered.
Let’s hope that makes the steering a bit lighter.

Never mind 100 x safer, much less likely to delaminate/fail/deflate/puncture, more predictable..... and peace of mind, priceless!

Sorry, I'm too late to be of help here, but I replaced my old tyres in 2018 and after much research opted for Vredestein T-Trac 2 165/80R15 87T

Cost for 4 with delivery was under £175. I have no complaints at all. The steering feels exactly the same as it did with the Michelins and the road noise seems less.

The tyres don't look quite as period-correct as a Michelin as the sidewall has a bit of a pattern on them, but in every other respect, they are a very good alternative.
