Hello,

We are rebuilding the engine for my s4 B20.

My engine builder wonders if the standard oil pump is up to the job, or if there are upgrades available on the market?

Is the Aurelia oil pump typically considered adequate in its original form?

regards
Torstein

There are three versions of the Aurelia oil pump - for the s. 1/2, s. 3/4, and s. 5/6. They differ in output, varying in the length (height) of their two gears. When we converted the s.2 engine from white metal to shell bearings, we used the s.5/6 oil pump, with no issues.

I think the s.3/4 pump is 24mm high, and the s. 5/6 pump is 30mm.
Never heard anyone say the s.4 pump was inadequate.

I think I should know the answer to this but if the S3/4 pump rotors are 24mm high ( which I think they are), are the rotors in S1/2 oil pumps shorter or different in any other way?

3 sizes... s1/2 are the shortest, s. 5/6 are the longest. There is a De Virgilio's sketch of the three, with his output calcs...Otherwise I believe they are unchanged.
