1973  car sold for £33.6K inc Buyers premium at Duxford,
not bad against an estimate of £12- 16K!

You can never tell from a single photo but I think it's a long time since good 1600 HF Lusso's have been anywhere near that estimate. That's good 1300 money. The winning bid seems more realistic these days and I've seen them go for far more.

I saw that coming up and thought the estimate was very low. In the photos (apart from the grille and the wipers) it looked pretty good to me, although photos can always mislead. If I am putting two and two together from the adverts in the magazine, it was taken to Omicron for work.

Yes it was a tidy car and had been in the ownership of the same family since the late 1970's, recorded 51K miles, last restored 91/92.
Omicron latest advert in LMC mag details its recent return to the new owner following recommissioning.
