Seen adverts for similar with "stripped for inspection".  Its a struggle to see how it could be in any more bits than that...

Rods really skinny.

Is the handbrake merely mounted to the gearbox or does it act on a transmission brake?

The peddle box is quite a thing.  Why???

Mathilda said "is that a car - you aren't going to buy it are you?"

I've seen it in the flesh a couple of years ago, and the parts come from a part complete car that was used as parts car for the restauration of another Dilambda.  So I fear quite a bit of the parts are 'second choice' as the best bits will have been used on the restored car.  And I doubt it will be 'complete'....they always are, untill one check's off with the parts list at hand.  (my hard learned advice: do this before the purchase and not after!!!!!)

Now more or less knowing about the hassle and the cost of getting a basket case Lambda together, I fear this one is even a much bigger challenge...as for the Lambda's there is a very helpfull community, but with a Dilambda I fear one is more or less on his own.....

So the description might be "stripped for inspection, inspected, passed over and left in a pile for someone else...could be you!"

Wow! now there's a thing! And I thought that Modestine was a big enough challenge.

I suppose that I'm one of the few people who could tackle it - I can identify most of the parts but undoubtedly there will be some missing which will prove impossible to find and cost a fortune to have made.
It looks like a series 2 and yes David the hand brake is mounted on the gear box and the pedal box is a work of art housing the brake compensator.

And then there's the body! Or rather lack of it.

It can't possibly be financially viable if committed to a specialist repair shop and would be difficult to justify as a DIY project. As a source of spares it's very desirable but with only about 25 world wide that I know of, finding takers for all the parts could take forever and then some.

So sadly I fear it is likely to remain where and as it is for some considerable time.

Robin.
