Slow but rough

« on: 27 April, 2019, 04:43:56 PM »

Hi all
Had a request for the spring that controls the door lock catch at the top and bottom of each door...we had none so I investigated removing the lock complete. This meant removing 3 screws holding it in and then using a slot machined into the end of the plunger to unscrew it from the remote control rod..the first one took about half an hour the second one about 15 minutes so quite easy. Question is how easy/difficult is it to replace the lock as you have to line up the threaded portion of the lock plunger with the end of the remote control rod? You can see in the picture of the new one we had in stock the slot in the plunger that you can use to unscrew it
