Hi everyone,

Did some tinkering on my Flavia over the weekend and discovered that the accelerator pedal is splitting meaning that the pedal is sticking down occasionally. Is there a fix for this, as I suspect that replacements are like hens teeth!

Used to be readily available. I can remember in the 1970s it was standard advice to keep a spare throttle cable in the boot as they did have a penchant for breaking and it was usually at night in the middle of nowhere. Reminds me to get one for the Sport!!

I remember the throttle cable breaking on my 2000 Coupe back in 1984 on my way to a best friends wedding in Basingstoke. Fortunately one of my passengers hadn`t had time to wrap his wedding present and had sellotape with him. We managed to tape the cable back together and it not only got us to the event, but lasted for two weeks afterwards until I found a replacement.
