Thanks everyone for your thoughts, maybe I will give carandclassic.com a go.

Chris,

I would. When I advertised my Thesis through LMC circles, despite lots of folk commending it, there were no takers. During my time with the car, many folk said that they would be interested if it was ever for sale but in reality you couldn't see them for dust. I put it on carandclassic.com at a price I was more than happy with & the interest was huge, so much so that the first viewer purchased it without haggling and drove it away.

There are no guarantees when selling a car but it's got to be worth a try, especially for that car of yours-it's a hidden gem. There are no unmolested examples for sale on Autoscout24.com  anywhere in Europe at the moment, the nearest is a scruffy & scuffed '94 Dedra HF Turbo at 7,500 Euros. I'd be cheeky and advertise it at 10,000 euros- You never know it may be just what someone out there is holding out for.

Chris

People are weird when it comes to buying cars advertised on Forums. The eventual buyer of my last 1300 Beta Coupe admitted to considering buying at the £750 posted on here and Betaboyz. I eventually put it on ebay. He was caught up in the bidding and ended up paying me £1400.

Not being bothered to pick up the phone cost him £650!

Good on you, Chris - now on Car& Classic!

https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1137305

Only 6 pictures allowed but, since there isn't any limit on wording for adverts on this particular site, it's always worth considering expanding the descriptive element with some/yet more encouraging words for potential purchasers*.

(*As opposed to men of straw like me, only trying to be supportive by pointing out what a very nice example of an extremely rare Lancia it is....)

Are there any contemporary road tests in the library you could quote from?  From the "Honest John Classic Review" there's:

"the top of the range 2000 Turbo was an Integrale in all but name (the Europeans were treated to a 4x4 Integrale badged version, too). This earned some kudos for being a very capable Q-car with a dash of panache"

" it was refined, rode well, and had a beautiful interior"

Perhaps add some facts and figures to compare with the Delta Integrales?

I got to page four of google without learning much so the casual browser is going to need some help...  Trying to think who might be a customer there are many out there who like something unusual in show condition, but they need to be reassured that its not going to be a lot of trouble and that they can get problems fixed.  The other "obvious customer" is Delta Integrale fan who missed the boat, or had one "back in the day".  I think anyone with an Integrale already looking for a more civilised car or a q-car to share its garage will have a 4wd Golf or something, and perhaps be looking for a Fulvia HF.  They might have been a customer in 1991 but less likely now.

Another thought is to place it with a dealer and leave them to write the advert.

In terms of the "easy to look after" message say where you got the work done?   That also gives a potential buyer the opportunity to phone them for a 3rd party take on its condition.  The other "if it was me" thought would be reassurance that it shares a lot of parts with "ordinary" Integrales.

Chris have you the ghosted drawing of the Dedra integrale? which would be a good illustration of what the car is
Also worth pointing out it shares many parts with the rest of the Dedra Family, such as electrics, body parts etc.
I see honest John made the usual mistake of spelling integrale with a capital 'I' of those not in the know!

Is "Integrale" ever correct (perhaps in a Delta context) or is it always "integrale"?

As far as I'm aware David only integrale in lower case is right.

One last try on our Forum, afterall it did win a concours plaque at the AGM.  As suggested by some of the regular Forum contributors, although it is a "modernish" car (only 25 years old) maintenance is possible due to it being so closely aligned to the Delta Integrale Evos and the Mk2 Delta.  The work I have had done was by Auto Integrale near Reading but there are a number of other Delta specialists around the country who would find no difficulty in looking after it if you don't do your own maintenance.  I can email a detailed service history since I bought it along with some information prior to that and although it had an MOT recently, I would be more than happy to have the garage of your choice do it again as a condition of sale.
Think about it, a 4WD car which drives as well as a Delta in a more modern stronger better protected body at a fraction of the cost of an Evo. Yes it may never increase in value like the Deltas but do you want your Lancia to be a afraid to use collectors piece or a car you can enjoy driving every day if you want to without worrying.
If this nudge does not work, then I will probably put it on an auction site.

Just to close this sale off, the well known young Bristolian Richard Carr has bought my Dedra, so it is going to a good home - once he moves those Alfas on!
