I've decided to scrap my trusty 1990 16v Thema non turbo. It has fitted a Powerflow stainless exhaust including the flexi just after the downpipe. It's around 6 years old and cost over £400 at the time. If anyone wants this, or any other small bits, please get in touch before Tuesday 12th and I can cut it off before the car gets scrapped on the Friday.

I can store it for a while if it can't be collected immediately from Scottish Borders just south of Edinburgh.

Does the car still have an MoT? Wondering if I could collect it and drive it to somewhere where the TDC could dismantle it for spare parts to help keep other Thema's on the road.

No, the MoT expired around September last year. It would drive anywhere though as it was my daily until then.

So what is the reason for killing the car?

A pity that we didn't know about the car before teh Mot expired as we could have done something with it, but the cost of collecting it would probably be prohibitive.

Is the interior (namely drivers seat) worn out or worth salvaging?

Car went for scrap today but I have removed the full stainless exhaust and some other parts before it went. Having a look at the exhaust, I cannot see any reason why it wouldn't fit the turbo as well as the non turbo as it appears identical from the flexi rearward.

I still have this exhaust and loads of other Thema spares if anyone's interested. Looking to start clearing some stuff out as I lose one of my garages next year.

I'm assuming that all the remaining Themas are going so well that they aren't needing any parts! Grin

Have you approached the Consortium? Contact details are in the back of VL. Though they may have storage issues of their own.

I did offer the entire car before it was scrapped but the logistics didn't work out.

I have a stainless steel front pipe with flexi section for a 16v i.e. non Turbo.

If of interest I'll send you pics.

I would be interested in this as well . Just have to figure out  how to get it home , with brexit looming and customs ect ! Sad
