Interesting, I'd never heard of the guy or the watch brand. A Coupe I presume......

Strange...I worked on Ford advertising in the 1980's, I've made two watches for myself and own two Lancias. So a few things in common apart from our bank accounts.....

Like Stanley I've also constructed some watches and one of them uses a quality Vertex movement so I was aware of this maker.

At the moment I've got a Fulvia inspired watch project on the go. Just something for fun really but if there's some interest in watches out there I might post a few pictures on the forum when I've finished to amuse you!  Roll Eyes

Sounds a good project. It seems quite often people have classic cars and watches as an interest. I suppose it's an appreciation of the styling and mechanics.

I have never been afflicted by watches and clocks to the same extent, but I have had numerous Lancia friends who have been. One good friend from the 1960s, who had an Aurelia B20 when I had my Aprilia went on to become an expert horologist and film maker – his later cars included a Flaminia Sport and an Appia. See the link below for one of his recently made animated films. There is nothing in this that is directly related to cars, but there is a lot in it to do with some of the qualities of excellence and ingenuity that I associate with Lancia. Play the film with sound on – enjoy!

Thanks Colin; I liked that. John's obviously a clever chap. He has some nice filming kit too!  Smiley
