There are rumors of an expected treasure surfacing from Italy. Reportedly, one of the three Aurelia Zagatos was found in storage elsewhere in Europe and has been restored since. Actual details are vague and the car has yet to make an appearance. It may be a fabrication, or perhaps is an original. We wait to see.

Found this photo on Instagram some time ago. No more information given. I was wondering: could this be original?

By the way, thanks for your excellent work!

Josef

Here is another photo of the car, obviously shown recently at Palazzo Pitti concours.

Does anybody know more? Is it original?

Or do we have to ask Dottore Paolo Giusti in order to get the correct information?

GG--

If a replica, the ideal basis would have been B20-1150 from the woods of Westchester, County (NY)...discussed elswhere on this forum, as it was already fitted with engine B20-2791, which came from the Zagato B20-2518.  The car was no longer in the woods in NY as of 2014, it obviously went somewhere.

So, if this car is fitted with engine B20-2791, I think we can assume that it is a replica.

Hopefully it is real though!
