Thought I'd share this with you Fulvia owners...
Having searched for a replacement, the cost seemed to outweigh the benefit of replacing the (usual) torn rubber gasket. So for the cost of less than a pound I made a replacement. First eBay and buy a 200 x 200mm x 1mm sheet of oil resistant Nitrile rubber sheet, (this cost me £2.40 with free postage) which is enough for 2, possibly three replacement gaskets.
1. Cut Nitrile sheet very slightly oversize around removed gasket
2. Cut out damaged gasket centre, following radius of gasket corner profiles
3. Clean both Nitrile sheet and remaining gasket face with cellulose thinners
4. Carefully superglue to gasket applying pressure until set (30 seconds)
5. Trim around outside with scissors
6. Using v.sharp knife cut handbrake slot after marking position
7. Using hole punch make two matching holes either end of handbrake slot and same for the six screw holes
8- re-assemble and refit to car
Looks great and saves a bundle. All the best Keven
