I also saw this film which is worth looking out:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p-5wUn2X-rcThe trailer voice over is TERRIBLE and does not reflect the quality of the film itself. Trailer not that good either... In brief an ex Minardi F1 driver buys a 312B and gets it restored supervised by the original designer / engineer. Lots of teething troubles. Debut at Monaco Historics. Manages a couple of laps. Lots of workshop and test track footage. Some great characters and mechanics' tales of the old days. Nothing like as much interview stuff as the trailer. Feature length but felt much shorter.
They had it on at the museum with two journalists to introduce it. Nigel Robuck and someone I didn't know who's interviewed at the F1 press conferences for the last 150 years.
Ferrari 312B tells the story of men and motors, but most of all, passion. The passion that drove Italian ex-F1 racing driver, Paolo Barilla, to bring the Ferrari 312B back on track, 46 years after its debut, and race it once more on the Monte Carlo circuit for the Historic Rally held there every two years. In order to do this, Barilla entrusted the car to the man who created it in 1970, designer and engineer Mauro Forghieri, and his enthusiastic team of mechanics. The car was completely restored, piece by piece, with the utmost preparation for the big day.
This film is a tribute to a piece of F1 history, to a car that is a work of art, entirely handmade, as well as being a prototype launched by its inventors full speed towards the future. It is a symbol of a revolution that changed the world of F1 forever.
