I know its a bit late but the HRCR are holding an open day (tomorrow Sat) at Gaydon from ten oclock. All aspects of the sport are on show with experts on hand to answer questions. There will also be an array of cars and an auto-test open to all. Call me for more details

Rusty Delta left in corner
Couldnt look no more forlorner
Who will save my pride and joy
Give it life my favourite toy

God he moves in mystic way
Listens in to those who pray
Repairing more than just the souls
He cuts all crumble fills the holes

Then further answers Saddlers plea
(Who by now is on his knees)
You know its Christmas give me key
To endless joy via MOT

Now cos our Fens a real good boy
God gives him back his pride and joy
But heed the pledge attached to greeting
Buy Peter drinks at area meeting (thats Sunday)

 Grin  LOL...

Won't be at area meeting this week (even though I've booked the restaurant) since I turned up last week and had impromptu area meeting with others who had turned up - thus spending my area meeting fund for this month. Money this weekend is going on Walsall vs Swindon instead...  Save your thirst for next month...

Seems LMC led the way at the HRCR Open Day Autotest on Saturday 12th January with Steve and Emma Gales taking their Fulvia Coupe round the course at a most indecent speed. Richard Fisher also worked himself up into a lather pushing the HF to the limit while Neil Lewis showed everyone what a modern rally classic the quattro is. Seems I pushed the Fulvia sedan a bit to hard as after three attempts the engine protested and cut out. Lin also may have had something to do with the demise by driving the poor thing in high heels on. Chris Fieldhouse was there with his very smart Fulvia Series One while a 'works' colours lookalike HF lurked in the line of stage rally cars but sadly I have no idea who owns it.

PS. Quite happy if this is lifted and put in V/L

Just to put the test into perspective, Richard posted a time of 43 seconds (admittedly on his third go) and my Integrale was 6 seconds behind.  That's why it's better to do tests in a Fulvia; the integrale just won't handbrake!
