I have just started a restoration on an aprilia series 1 . An early original UK car ( 1937 as far as i can work out ).
I'm going to need lots of advice along the way so i thought i would start a thread where i can post some pictures of progress and hurdles limiting progress, so fellow enthusiasts can chip in with advice and general encouragement.  I have literally only just starter on the car - Currently stripping paint and dirt and removing some very sun scorched rubber to get the windscreen and rear windows removed.   Paint stripping is oddly therapeutic, perhaps it's the fumes..  Grin

Great to see another full blown restoration on the forum, there are several similar threads ongoing, at various stages and progressing at different rates!

Plenty of advice and solutions to issues already on the forum plus I'm sure the guys who've done it all before will as ever be more than helpful.

All the best with the Aprilia

That looks like a very challenging but worthwhile undertaking James.

I have been driving my Aprilia on and off for the past 53 years so am fairly familiar with their strengths and weaknesses!
How good are you with the welder?

Look forward to hearing of your progress.

HI Ben ... My welding skills are poor at best ! She's actually not as bad as the pictures would lead you to believe -
If you are ever up near Stratford Upon Avon, please do let me know.  i've never seen a finished Aprilia in the flesh ..
