I can remember in the Aurelia parts book it says the carb is used on a Ferrari 212, Pegaso something or other, "and other more rare cars" as if those others were ten-a-penny.

Carlsberg don't do scrap yards, but if they did it would be full of such parts.

Back when I had the car and a garage full of bits I used to sweat enough over the spares being stolen and weighed in.  Do people keep their spares in a bank vault these days?  Prices like this those 30K projects won't get done, they'll get broken.

The guy who sold the B12 to me said it was too good a car to break, but he could have gotten more for it in parts than complete.

I know they were a prestige marque in their heyday, and lots made relative to others, but bits and pieces are 1930s Bugatti prices...am sure I will keep moaning about this until the car is restored!

Actually, Rare Earths are not that expensive.  Gold and platinum I think probably with added diamonds....
