Morning guys

Can anyone suggest where I can get my Ducellier alternator refurbished? It works fine electrically but the bearings are now making a noise and having removed the unit it's clear that they need replacing.

I do have a new spare alternator but it's only rated at 33A. It also has a built in regulator, so I'm guessing that wiring it up would be a bit of a pain.

Any suggestions welcome. (Fulvia 3)

Bearings easily replaced and common. I can supply the brush sets as well.

Its not the winning but taking part! or is it taking apart?

Thanks Tony all sorted. Front bearing shot but rear one fine. Brushes very little worn so didn’t fit the new ones. All back together so should work silently.

If anyone wants to remove the alternator on a series 2/3 it’s far far easier if you take off the radiator housing/fan.Just three bolts and two wires. No need to remove the carbs.

Also, just take lots of photos on your smart phone when you dismantle anything. I’ve got into the habit of using it when I take almost anything apart and it is the most useful tool that I have! Sorry if I’m preaching to the converted.
