Also thanks for posting the pictures John. The Aprilia looks really racy and modern among the Augustas. Also sort of proves that Aprilias were not available to customers at that point despite being launched at the (Autumn?) Paris show earlier in 1936 or they would surely have been entered in the race (and cleaned up of course!!!). Attached picture shows my Augusta being prepared for a visit to a specialist restorer----at last.
