Post by: simonandjuliet on 01 December, 2016, 08:27:26 AM
Good morning !

Does anyone know of a source of the cotter pin type hose clips (see photo) as used on most pre-Beta Lancias ?

I know they are a pain to fit/remove but they look correct ......

I have found a source in the USA but they are v expensive

Thanks

Hello Simon
I don`t know of anyone specifically at the moment, but I know that Mercedes and Renault fitted them, so worth a try to their classic departments.
Good Luck
John

This chap had the same issue trying to source these kind of hose clamps:
http://jaguarxk150restoration.blogspot.co.uk/2015/08/jaguar-xk-split-pin-hose-clamp-or.html (http://jaguarxk150restoration.blogspot.co.uk/2015/08/jaguar-xk-split-pin-hose-clamp-or.html)

The clips come with a binder (pin holder) and band that gets tightened as the pin is twisted. He cites Mercedes parts numbers N900262005100 and N900263005000 respectively that he'd managed to track down.

Trying to find prices for these online isn't a joy and you'll probably want to contact a local helpful Mercedes dealer if this was a source for these parts but indicative pricing via site https://en.partacus.de/spareparts/ (https://en.partacus.de/spareparts/) says around Euro 2.01 for the binder and Euros 2.23 for the band.
