Title: Lancia Ardennes at Epoq'Auto Lyon - November 2016
Post by: Sebastien on 04 November, 2016, 02:32:45 PM
A completely restored Lancia Ardennes is on the stand of the Lancia Club France at Epoq'Auto Lyon this week-end.

This quality of restoration is not frequently seen on an Aprilia / Ardennes.

Check out the blog of Retro-Meca who did the job:

The car belongs to a delightful frenchman called Xavier Freyche

It has been painstakingly rebuilt and looks lovely in pictures - I am yet to see it in the flesh. Ben recently provided some door locks to help get it to Lyon - a very tight deadline !

Google translate:

Crank:
The crankshaft, very corroded, is rectified.
Driveline consisting of three regulated bearings, the babbitting of each step is performed taking into account the new dimension of the crankshaft.
Note that the central bearing comprises two "ears" for lateral wedging of the crankshaft.
Destroyed on the landing found dismounting, these lugs are reconstituted and their thickness is defined to obtain a correct play.

As we explained above, the connecting rods are made of duralumin, and mounted directly on the crankshaft, without controls or pads.
So this is a real problem because, among wear rods and the new dimension of the crankshaft which has been rectified ... Therefore we have a game to spare.
The decision is made to change the rods to adapt thin pads "modern".
The hats are assembled and torqued on each link, the bored housing, and a pad of recent vehicle adapted.
We dare you reveal the source? Mitsubishi ...

Good photos - I particularly liked the steering box sequence.
