Title: Fulvia head/engine required
Post by: peteracs on 06 December, 2015, 07:05:40 PM
Hi All

Not sure if this is a little out of order, but noticed this request on Lancisti for a UK Fulvia owner and thought that someone on here may be able to help/supply. Simon is a lapsed LMC member apparently.

His post on Lancisti -

"Earlier this year, after many miles of hard road use, hillclimbs and sprints, I broke a valve in the engine of my S1 1966 Fulvia coupe (1216cc) damaging the cylinder head and No. 4 piston. I am fitting S1 1298cc engine to keep the car going, but would very much like to rebuild the original engine, the starting point of which is a good replacement head.

Obviously this needs to be in Europe I would imagine (I am based in the UK), but I am willing to travel as long as the costs dont get out of hand."

If you can help do please PM me and I can supply the email contact details

Peter

Simon. is very much a Lancisti, I had two early Fulvia wheels off of him earlier this year which i've been looking for for years, That allowed me to refurbish my wheels; I've also had a 1091cc Berlina engine off him recently which he bought from a scrapyard, hoping that he might be able to use the head, but unfortunately is was of no use to him, first 1091cc engine I can ever recall being up for sale since I've owned Fay, currently it's soaking in diesel in the hope I can get it to turn.
So if anyone can help Simon I'll add my thanks.

Lets hope as the club needs members with Lancias as when someone ends their affair with the marque for what ever reason we inevitably lose a member. Gone are the good old days when Lancar promoted membership to all new Lancia owners......

Indeed, we need to encourage and be as proactive as possible, and reply to any and all enquiries/questions.

Even if not a member nor even likely to become one, if they have any interest or any Lancia, they or the next owner may well become a member at some stage.
