Title: Possible DVLA scam?
Post by: stanley sweet on 06 October, 2015, 09:53:06 AM
Had an email this morning from the 'Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency' asking me to update my Licence details within 72 hours. Needless to say there's a link you are supposed to click on to do this. Firstly, the whole thing sounds faintly ridiculous, secondly I now have a French licence anyway so the real DVLA know my UK one is no longer valid. Didn't click on the link and deleted the whole thing. So watch out for this, I'm pretty sure it's not real.

I wonder if someone has found out that your former VRN is no longer in use and they were fishing for details in order to 'steal' it somehow?

Quite possibly. It came from 'noreply@dvla' etc which was a shame as I wasn't able to send my two word response.
