Title: After 30 years Morris Parry's platform chassis rolls
Post by: DavidLaver on 20 September, 2015, 08:21:00 PM

In ten days James has pulled his dad's platform chassis out the shed, made and welded in floors and all sorts else, painted and fitted up and now it rolls:

Mostly updates are on his personal and business pages but just in case here are both:

Miss very much James' posts on the Forum, so much interesting and valuable stuff lost to the LMC website - suppose I'll have to give in and join Facebook :(

Robin.
P.S. Is there any way he could link his facebook posts to the Forum?

I thought you'd be able to at least see the photos without a login.  Is that not so?

Maybe I'll have to upload some highlights here...

James is much missed - but having "gone pro" its a tough line to walk on a forum and I've seen enough get it wrong to respect his choice.

+1 to the above comments, saw the platform in the flesh, great work and a credit to team Parry and Morris.

My feelins as well, I miss James's photos and comments on here.
Shouldn't be a problem seeing the facebook photos as I looked at them without having to sign on, I don't have, nor itend to have a Facebook account, however much Lancia related stuff there is on there.

I did wonder why he'd disappeared off the Forum.

In the sunshine.

Of course axles ready to go, bolts and bushes made up etc etc but all the same what an achievement in ten days with the structural work done I think by the end of day four...

Tool and battery box lids are propped up while the paint hardens.

Now it needs a super elegant coachbuilt body. Is this the point where we find out if James is as much of an artist in wood as he is in steel?

This is what they're aiming for.  I expect it will be Morris not James making the frame.
