Hi guys

Sorry for the delay.

The usual car club deal....2 for 1, and car pass, is available again for 2016. A link will be set up shortly along with member's only code.

The cheaper early bird deal is available until the 31st of March ( 3 day weekend £99) Advanced tickets are available from 1st April to 31st of May (3 day w/e £114). Single day and 2 day options are available also.

Please let me know who is going and with what car on this link. It helps to generate some interest, and maybe a few new entries! The more Lancias the better😄

Charles

I see that the Classic website lists LMC as a participating club again. As I am intending taking the integrale I wondered if we had a booking code so  the tickets will include the pass to reach the allocated Lancia site within the circuit.

Hello Charles,

Don't want to tread on your toes but some members might not realise that (as I understand it from previous years) 'advance tickets' means the only way of getting a ticket to bring your Lancia into the club display area.

31 May ..... 4 DAYS TIME ... this ticket option closes !

Martin.

Hello Charles. Would like to be at Silverstone Classic with Flaminia Convertibile on club stand (which I assume is inside Circuit) on the Saturday.
Obviously too late for 'early bird' but is there still space?
Tried to book with code but invalid (probably as out of date).
Many thanks
Glyn

Hi all

Hope you are all still planning on bringing your lovely cars this weekend.

My plans are to bring the PF up on Friday morning, straight from the place where it has undergone a eight month bare metal repaint, subject to an MOT tomorrow. If all goes to plan, will be there all three days, so look forward to meeting up.

We hopefully will have 5 Flaminias together at some point, probably on Saturday. Also, as mention before, we will be next to the Montecarlo Consortium, so come and have a look.

Charles

Thanks to Charles for organising.

Went yesterday in "Shades", our wanabe Lancia Strato's, and Sarah had her first drive which she pronounced as brilliant and not scary at all!! We went round the track in a high speed stop go "parade" which was great fun.

A few pics of some of the Lancias we saw.

Frank - 8 Strati reps of different beginnings. An Allora, 2 (at least) Transformer "Hawks", later Hawks, but not sure if there was a Lister Bell.... (7 made it for the Parade as one missed the slot....).

Try guessing which race track this is?

I thought the tunnel at Monaco was wider than this, does look like a chicane at the exit though.
No wonder Ascari ended up in the drink.

Nice to see so many Flaminias all in one place, in good condition and running. As a matter of interest, does anyone know what engines were in the Stratos replicas?
Chris

Hi Chris, all but one of the Stratos Replicas had Alfa Romeo V6's in either 12 or 24 valve form with the exception of one with a Lancia Beta 2 litre twin cam engine. It's odd that all the cars were Group 4 replicas in either round or square arch form. There was one Allora and the rest, over the weekend 8 or 9 I think, Hawk/Transformers.

Unfortunately I didn't get time to fit the new mirror to the car - the required bracket isn't fabricated yet!

Not sure about my car as it is a hybrid of Gr4 body but Stradale interior..... Those seats are really comfortable....

My (Shades) car is a round arch. Its how it flows laterally into the body. See other cars that have a "square" junction. Hope that helps.

Is it just the rear arches that differ?

No. (sorry Tim!) the interiors differ too. Some Stradales that have been converted to Group 4 spec retain their Stradale interior but there is a specific Group 4 dash. However some Group 4 cars are converted but retain the gauges from the Stradale dashboard, all being electrical gauges (except the speedometer). The Group 4 gauges are all mechanical except for the ammeter and fuel gauge.

Small point, but the 'works' cars would have had a Halda Twinmaster, ie with two readouts.

I'd love to see a picture Peter, I can't recall ever seeing a Twinmaster in a Stratos, the space on the dashboard above the fusebox/below the top cover isn't tall enough for one?
