Title: July Practical Classics. The Kennedy Connection.
Post by: GT on 24 June, 2015, 06:35:54 PM
A four page article in the July edition of Practical Classics covers the Kennedy Lancia collection. With plenty of photo's, the 6 Lancia's featured show that red is obviously the family racing colours but a blue Thema Turbo estate bucks the trend. With so many classics being kept for sunny days it is good to see that most of the Kennedy collection are raced, for that is what Lancia's are good at. Well done Jason and Louise.

Some excellent photos, thanks to David for sending me a copy.

Juliet said that the Aurelia looks so much better now, then when I owned it ! I'm glad neither David nor Jason/Louise never straightened the peg on the air intake .....

Thanks all!  It was a wonderful experience and we're really happy with the photos and the write up (despite the odd minor error).  Red does indeed seem to follow us but other than the Beta, who we resprayed to match the Griffith colours after it had a wee off at Combe (actually it was a very heavy off), we haven't gone out of our way to buy red cars.  Even our latest family member, Bertie the HPE is in red (not featured as Bertie has only just joined us).

Particularly happy that the Thema looks so fabulous.  We had the roof and bonnet resprayed last year for our trip to Italy where I took part in a vintage bicycle event and the car still looks fabulous.  One of Jason's daily drivers...

And Simon, we try to keep the car as it was unless absolutely necessary to preserve all his history (yep, a he). Thankfully the FIA have not insisted on any changes after a recent visit for new HTP papers.  All terribly technical and we wouldn't do it if we didn't have to.
