Title: Fusebox and fuses
Post by: mikeC on 24 June, 2015, 04:39:54 PM
Yesterday evening the indicators packed up; Oh dear, I thought, I'm going to have to investigate the magic box that is the indicator switch!
Fortunately it turned out to be a blown bulb in the switch, which had then blown the fuse. I swapped the dead fuse for the next fuse in the box - I haven't got a radio, and the fuel gauge doesn't work anyway, so what the heck!
But the old fuse has no marking; has anyone got a note of the fuse values for the various circuits? I have checked my copy of the owners handbook, but there is no reference in there...

The workshop manual just says

"Fuse Box
Under the hood: 15 amp fuses protecting the various circuits as indicated on box cover."

Time to get the fuel gauge working ?

OK, thanks. 15 amps is surprisingly high for some circuits - I would have thought 8-10 amps would have been fine for both the indicators and the fuel gauge circuits - and surely the dynamo charging circuit needs to be more than that?

When I was restoring the fusebox during my rewiring phase all I could find was a reference to 15 amp fuses so in they went
Clarkey

My Handbook for my 2c quotes 15amp fuses all positions.
