Dear all the basket case from Dale is now mine.
I have always wanted a lancia wing car so  I hope this will be a great project .
I have spoken a lot to James already and hopefully early part next year he will do the bodywork for me and the intentions is then for me to put it back together.
I am hoping to put some pictures up soon it pretty much a box of bits any help and parts help will be greatly appreciated I am hoping to bring it all to the farm in Wales will built a dry run to see what is missing and what it there.

word of advise, if you are ever "thinking" of buying an augusta DON'T call me..............because you will end up with one  :D :D :D , was glad to see that you have done the deal , and more pleased that augusta owners in the uk is growing , welcome to the clan and I'm sure you will enjoy

A bit of progress I moved majority of the car bits to the farm.
The  big move was Saturday manage to get both bodies on one trailer then went back to wales through the heaviest rain storm ever since unloading them it hasn't stopped raining yet. Hope I can get the better shell in store this week to try and start doing stuff.

Yep I hope so I started stripping the dark shell of it last usable bits in the rain.
Seems that not that much missing although structure are both very rough I think the most work is in them so James  I hope you like a challenge
If anyone got a spare metron speedo and a clock and the indicator switch then I will be very interested.
A good source for new nuts and bolts would be great too.

speedo should be either jaeger or smiths chronometric , clock NOT A CHANCE!!! , buy a smiths and get a repro face , much easier , neither shell worries me , both better than the last one I bought!  :D , just remember the bolts (99%) are metric fine , wurth do sell them (that's where I get mine from) expensive but not popular with most nut and bolt places in my area

Christo, well done on getting a Gussie. There is huge support out there and a lot of enthusiasm.

I regret I cannot help with the speedo, clock or indicator switch.

With regard to nuts and bolts, you might do well to try South Essex Fasteners. They will want the thread pitch specified, I have found with them that 'metric fine' is not sufficient. This is particularly with the larger diameter items where there are offered, as standard, two or more thread pitches finer than coarse.

That'll teach you not to use cobottom language! No chance of finding an original Metron clock in the U.K. , but sometimes available in Italy - at a price! Mine was "lost" by Richfields, who were supposed to have been repairing it!

yes correct, ridicules money and as a clock not the best quality , smiths clock much more reliable , my dad has an original metron  (broken) , he stripped it to find the fault and its one of the main springs broken , his over all opinion was it was a poor quality and poor design so are they worth the money?? I doubt it

Hi guys need some advise been busy on the car doing bits .
I have stripped the back axles into about a 100 pieces to paint and refurbish but a few gremlins have come out too.
One off many problems is crown wheel and pinion is very worn I think past any rescue, has anyone got new pieces or has anyone had any made . I have looked few companies up which I might try if no good secondhand one is around to get a new set made.
The handbrake bits was all seized on but they now all loose and working,
The adjuster for the brake shoes was all seized on just snapped when I tried to move them I have templates but I hope my engineering man can make some new shafts unless someone made some.
Then the drums are as thin as anything but been speaking to John Milman I am taking my set and his to a local guy in Uxbridge to get new casting machines and put in or rather I hope the guy can do it .
Any help with centre part of diff will be great .

On the rest the one shell is know totally stripped of useable parts and I have done the steering wheel and painted it stripped the dash sources day smiths clock. Bought a Aprilia /Aurelia indicator switch so making  progress .

Dear all small progress being made.
I am having some springs made for the front suspenion  on part 31-5576 and 31-5583/1a
The small Kidney one on the brass piece I had to get a minimum of 60 made at £60 there is two per car then you need to rivit them on the washer will probably be a smaller batch hopefully at £1 a piece too.
Let me know if you want any as that seems to be the main bit that wears on front suspension.
The place I found makes small batches of springs so I am very tempted to get the brake shoe spring remade too if not to dear would there be any others up for those .

On another note I have sourced a diff from Italy on eBay  it's not great have pitted marks on a couple of teeth but a lot better Than the orginal one.
Lastly Dale has given me a spare front axle but it's a very early cars one it's very rusty but I have strip the tops of the crucial working bits are all looking very good but of no use to me as different size. If anyone needs a earlier spare front axle let me know please.

Dear all ,
I need some help.
I have been busy with the back axle have sourced most of the parts now.
However when I had the axle ali casing cleaned up it came up with a crack so I thought no problem just get it welded. Well someone made a complete dog of it. So back to square one.
Would anyone have a spare aluminum casing in good condition that I can take over.
All help be greatly appreciated

Hi all I am having some new early outer door handles casted in alumnium as two of mine is broken.
If any wants a pair or a set they work out about £120 a pair I need to know by Thursday next week the latest.

Would it be possible please to post a photograph of the handles you are proposing to re-manufacture.

James is going to have his work cut out for him.

Been there, lots of areas look quite good, but usual areas pretty poor plus some previous repairs which makes it more difficult, if anyone can James can!
