Title: Aprilia-engined roadster
Post by: williamcorke on 22 September, 2014, 04:59:57 PM
Now here's an interesting thing, listed as an Ardea roadster, but clearly has an Aprilia engine. Doors full length, like an XK120 (as is the rest of the styling, from the side at least).

Does anyone know anything about this car? Is it a 'homebuild' from the USA, or from an Italian coachbuilder??

I'd love a look underneath to see how the chassis is built - probably not on an Aprilia platform, given the doors? The seller mentions a 'bird cage interior', so presumably there's a small-tube spaceframe supporting the body, if not the entire chassis.

Chugga - you'd probably be able to knock one up in a week.
