Post by: chugga boom on 13 June, 2014, 07:09:25 PM rat look varies in opinion, to me it should have its own patina that's evolved over a long period of time, personally I cant stand matt black and surface rust or forced rat look it just doesn't look right see the difference between the 2 photo's I've attatched, 1st car looks done and imho a total shed!!!, splitty looks O'natural and has its own "coolness" this is merely my opinion and I am no expert

Peter totally get that, however if we all liked the same thing wouldn't life be boring ;) to me a preserved car is cool, to others an eyesore , however to purposely make a car look knackered .............pointless! we have a Passat that comes to the garage that's like the Honda in the picture, TOTAL NAIL and REALLY doesn't do it for me, on the other hand we also have this little opel that comes in, my friend Alex owns it, it ran in 10 of the best last year and came 4th I think ,totally road legal and its now 550bhp...................AT THE WHEELS!!!! :o , lots of fun, i doubt anyone would expect it to go the way it does ;) even though the car looks rough you would honestly bow down if you saw the work and engineering that's gone into this car, its reliable and extremely fast, body work was on the list of "to do's " however more and more power has killed his budget Title: Re: To Rat or not to Rat, that is the question.....
