Title: Flavia 815 front pads
Post by: bobhenry999 on 31 May, 2014, 10:16:45 PM

Chaps,

Just thought I would add this link as I replaced my pads today using these from E-bay, and they fitted perfectly and were not expensive.

Following on from my last post, the pads were as I said, but having driven about 25 miles, my wheels were covered, and I mean covered in black brake dust, so maybe not as good as I originally thought.

I guess one only gets what one pays for - so I ordered a set from Omicron today !

Sorry if I gave anyone a bum steer on this, we are never too old to learn.

I hope you get your money back from the eBay seller.

Bob,

Thank you for sharing both the recommendation and lesson.

Wadhurst eh. How much are the pads usually? Got mine from EF Breen, from a dusty shelf

Hmmmm, his negative feedback doesn't sound so good. One buyer says 'Don't buy ANYTHING from him'. If you complain it seems you may not hear much from him but at least you haven't parted with a huge amount of money. Best bet is to warn others through your feedback.

Use Ebays dispute procedure and you should get your money back, I used it once when the seller sent me something that was nothing like in the condition stated; although you can leave bad feedback it doesn't hurt his pocket in the same way as having to give the money back, just as well sellers can't leave negative feedback these days, as that sometimes used to get very nasty, although it isn't always fair that the good sellers can't leave negative feedback on the real chancers.

Agreed Brian, I've recently sold an item for £430 and it looks as though the buyer is not going to pay. I've opened a case file but the only Feedback I'm allowed to leave for him is 'Positive' !! >:(

Robin.

A friend of mine had a bit of luck a few years ago. Bought a nice all metal Aztek airbrush in a wooden case with all accessories. When he used it, it splattered all over the place. On closer inspection it had been dropped on its nose at some point. Tried a few times to get in touch with the seller - nothing. Ebay tried - nothing. So they took the money directly from her account and paid him back. In the meantime he'd discovered that Aztek have a lifetime guarantee and sent it back to the U.S. He received a brand new one back plus he'd had his money returned. Quite a nice result.

Now that's what you call a Win Win situation!

Chaps,

I got the pads from Omicron yesterday, and fitted them last night.

The difference in quality is like night and day, so lesson learned.
