Title: Stanford Hall 'Summertime Classics' 29th June (Auto Italia)
Post by: neil-yaj396 on 18 April, 2014, 10:07:41 AM
I have received some member interest for this event and am thinking of organising an LMC presence/stand. Anyone else up for this?

Neil

As per our exchange - I'd be willing to bring the Lime along.

That's great Mark, it's first exhibition? I think we are at about 5 cars now and a nice mixture. The organisers are expecting us. I'll try to get one of the flags.  Look forward to seeing you all.

Less than a week to go, looking forward to seeing all those who plan to come (2 Beta Coupes, Integrale, Appia, Fulvia at least so far). Look for the Club flag.

Weather looking OK now, hope to see some of you tomorrow. Sadly Peter Fawcett, former owner of my Beta, who was bringing his Appia, has dislocated his shoulder, so can't make it. Hopefully someone else can bring a sliding pillar Lancia to replace it?

Just received these instructions to avoid roadworks;

Visitors should be aware that the exit for the Hall at the M1/M6/A14 roadworks is closed. From M1 North exit at Jn 20 via Swinford. M1 South Jn 18 via Crick and Yelvertoft. M6 Jn 1 via Shawell and Swinford and A14 Jn 1 via A5199 South and Cold Ashby.

Thanks Neil, saved a last minute rethink of the route.

Thanks Neil.

I should be ok , as I was coming along the A5 anyway rather than the M6.

I should be there in the Trevi so it's M1 J18 for me 😉

A nice if somewhat 'modern' turn out today (Fulvias representing the oldest cars present) for an enjoyable show. Thanks to Steve and Margaret for putting up Jack & I then leading us along the deserted A5 to Stanford.

Over 25 Lancias in total, including a few entered in the Concours (inc. Y10).

Thanks for a great day yesterday, the weather just about held out for the duration. Nice to meet people and put faces to names. I mentioned that I'd bought the 2000 Coupe that had been put up for sale by Paul Sparrow last week. I'm enclosing photos ( I hope) of it just after it arrived at 2pm today. It's now comfy in it's home with it's new pal, and lots of fun for the rest of the summer with any luck.

See some of you at the AGM next weekend,

Regards
Derek Moore
