And if you do, any idea where i can get one from?
thanks
Also looking for front indicator lenses, and exterior door handels for all 4 doors.

Hi (Paul?)

No idea on the engines ... I'm not particularly technical so don't tend to touch that.

Handles and Lenses sometimes appear on e-bay otherwise try one of the specialists (like Tanc Barrett)

Which part of the world are you from : then you might be able to meet up and have a nose at another 16v

Steve

Hi,
I'm in south west scotland, ayrshire.
I have a pic of how the part should look, but no ideas what it is. bought the car as a restoration that never got finished, so am kind of going in blind to see what parts are required/broken etc. Still, keeps me busy:-)

Looks like the air flow meter to me, which would mean a large "hose" attaches to it......

hi, thanks for the reply.
i sent the pic into whalleys, walkers and zagaton, and so far have had 1 saying idle control valve, one saying overboost valve and one saying it might be either:-(..
Eitherway it's not going to be cheap:-(

Still, guess it's what makes it fun.

Any recomendations as to a lancia specialist in scotland?

tried to message you lindsay, but it won't let me, so....
Would love to have a chat to someone local, esp. if they understand how my engine should look/work etc. pleae pass on his contact details, or ask him to message me on here instead if that is preferable? Am in Ayr also.
And thanks

Paul
A guy with good integrale knowledge based in Scotland is Duncan Mcfarlane, . He works at Dalvait garage in Balloch, and has sorted out some deep technical problems with my 8v. The garage no is 01389 758020.

Hi Paul, I'm the guy that Lindsay was refering to who is based in Ayr.

My experience is with 16v Thema's, but looking at your picture it is clear that the Air Flow Meter is missing and the auxiliary bypass valve has gone too, but it may be differently situated on a Delta 16v.

I don't want to appear to harsh, but from looking at the other pictures of this Delta I would walk away and just scrap the car for parts. You could buy a more feasible project for less than it will cost you to source the numerous missing trim items and mechanical parts.

Just changing the timing and balancer shaft belts and tensioner bearings will set you back £300 or maybe £150 if you try to do the job yourself.

I know you don't want to hear that, but its honest advice without malice.

hi
i think i have most of the missing items, there are quite a few parts stored in the garage at the moment, and the rest i have found very cheaply. By my reckoning, i have got/can get all missing parts for £2-300, so the main expense will be labour. i am working on the following basis- the car+parts+labour will be less than the cost of a car in as good condition as the car will be when it is finsihed. Also, it gives me a chance to get to know the car and get my hands dirty fixing it up. Thats the plan anyway. The main problem i have at the moment is getting going on it, work/family taking up too much time. If you had a spare hour or so and would be willing to come have a look at it in exchange for a few pints please let me know:-), just to see if it is as bad as it seems, or to give me pointers on what i need to start with:-)
thanks

Call me on 886634 and we can see about getting together to go over the car sometime.

We sadly had all our store of Thema bits, including a 16v Turbo engine, stolen from a lock up just a few weeks ago, but I'll do whatever I can to help.

There is also a guy who works for Flemings Citroen garage in Kilmarnock that has restored a couple of 'Grales.  I think the name was Renucci, but I'll need to do some digging on that one.

I think I may also know where to find an 8v Airflow meter for your car which might be good enough to at least get your motor to idle if not actually perform 100%.

Mike

hi
thanks for the reply.
I think i have the airflow meter on its way to me, hopefully should be here soon. Not 100% sure, but i think a friend of mine mentioned Mr. Renucci as someone to ask possibly, not sure though.
Will give you a call tonight if thats ok, when work quitens down?
thanks again.

Just realised that you don't seem to have an intercooler for the air going into the inlet manifold.
