Title: Any model engineers out there
Post by: Jay on 01 April, 2014, 07:30:49 AM
Not sure if there are any model engineers out there. We have seen magic which I consider breath taking preformed on car and panel builds on this forum, I came across this site as Dan Robin is moving back to France and is selling his lathe on ebay. It’s a slideshow type site with the next page a click at the bottom of the page.    http://www.danrobin.co.uk/Jupiter/Home_page.html

Fantastic- I am about to take delivery of a Myford lathe, so I should be up to this standard in a couple of weeks!

I am not certain which I find most amazing- the work or the fact that the machines appear to be in the hall on a limestone floor! In think wife will make sure mine stays in garage.

Truly stunning! Also this is the first time I've ever considered the carburettors on a rotary engine. I still can't quite work it out. Is there one feeding all the cylinders? How does it do that if the whole thing is spinning? Also reminds me of a chap (name forgotten) who built a fully working 1/8 scale Ferrari 512. Every single part right down to the spark plugs and a fully working tacho. Just mind boggling.

I love the rockers - with bearings - and compensation for thermal expansion.
