Title: Astura berlina ministeriale
Post by: Sebastien on 09 March, 2014, 01:02:50 PM
The Astura berlina ministeriale that was sold at Bonhams during Retromobile 2014 has now reappeared for sale in England, on PrewarCar.
Bonhams listed it sold for EUR 40.166.
The dealer is offering it for GBP 56.000, or approx. 46.500 EUR.
Not unreasonable markup, as you should now be able to check it carefully before purchase, and drive it - all things you cannot do when you buy at auction!
However, what do you do with such a car? Use as is? Do the school run with the kids of the neighbourhood? Buy it as a staff car for Goodwood?

Hi Sebastien

I think you have your maths wrong, GB 56,000 is approx 67,000 Euros, so a fairly big markup.....

Oh yes, of course! Thank you, Peter, for correcting me!
Should learn to use my pocket calculator, and to double check my computations.
(Or use "Measures" on the iPhone)
That explains everything!

Now I am no more surprised, and the dealer mark-up is "normal", again!

That Astura seems to be sold now, according to PrewarCar website.
Wonder who bought it! And what he will do with it....
