Title: tax free at last? Post by: dhla40 on 14 February, 2014, 04:06:23 PM I have a 1973 Fulvia with a current tax disc valid till 30 April. As the new tax free status for pre 74 cars is due to start on 1 April am I a fool to think that my renewal V11 will automatically show this and I can keep my money out of the chancellors grasp or will I have to jump through hoops with DVLA beforehand?

Post by: dhla40 on 09 March, 2014, 05:28:12 PM As all fools day is drawing near I have spent the last half hour trying to find some definitive info on this, latest rumour found was on the jensen owners club where someone had an e mail from dvla on 7 Mar that said from 1 April you can take V5 to post office and fill in V10 for free tax disc then give V5 to post office and they will send to dvla to change from PLG to historic status. I am not holding my breath ;D
