Title: Aprilia convertible - Made in France
Post by: simonandjuliet on 31 January, 2014, 09:11:10 AM
Whilst following up some spares this week, I came across this very nice Aprilia convertible in a corner of Southern France ! It is undergoing restoration and does not currently look like this, it was impossible to get good pictures because of all the other cars blocking it in ......

The owner has promised that I can go back and take more pictures when he moves it to the bodywork shop

Apparently it was a fixed head, platform chassis car built in 1939 and converted to the current form in France in the 50's. The owner is not a Lancia specialist, but has promised to send me a copy of the carte grise (V5) so I can check some details

It looks like someone got a Louvre press for Christmas.  Anyone know if they were like that from new?
