Title: How to convert Lechler paint to other paint systems ?
Post by: MaciekPeda on 06 December, 2013, 11:29:48 AM
Hello,
I have a question - is a way to convert Lechler paint to other more common systems like Speis Hecker or DuPont?
I want paint my Aprilia with two tones - Blue (solid Lechler 1079 BLEU APRILIA) and Grey (metallic Lechler 1048/M GRIGIO W 2410)
Any hints ?
Best regards from windy Poland

Hi
For the Appia I phoned a couple of paint suppliers in the UK and they would be able to supply paint for one of the 2 Lechler codes that I supplied, but not the other. IE they could not cross reference all the colours.

I ended up doing a spectro of the colour I wanted to copy and then had it made up - but you cannot do that if you don't have the colour to copy .....

Good luck

Hi Simon!
I haven't managed to find the Lechler code for the Metallic Green used on the Series 1 Aprilia. Do you happen to know it? My dash is the only part still with it's paint, so if all else fails, I could have it spectro'ed.
Thanks & regards,
Tim

Sorry, I don't have any paint codes. I haven't had much luck with codes in general, I have always gone back to the original colour and matched it.
