Title: Flavia 2000
Post by: ianwat on 06 October, 2013, 07:04:17 PM
Clearing out my shed - I have an engine and 5 speed gearbox which came out of a running 2000 coupe about 15 years ago (I think, I have had them for about 10 years) which I am probably never going to need......  The engine turns over easily but is missing the air box, starter, distributor cap and fuel pump (maybe some other, less obvious bits). Also, I have a pair of front seats from an 819 Flavia saloon, in good condition (little bit of pitting on the hinges), dark red/burgundy - it is looking increasingly unlikely that I will ever get around to my plan to make them into office chairs...... If any of these things are useful to anyone, then they would be FOC (or swap for Flaminia bits - I need lots of those.....), but they would need to be collected from the Northamptonshire/Leicestershire border. Ian,

I know its been a while since you placed your advert, but do you still have the Flavia seats available ?

I fancy turning them into chairs for my study, are there any holes/rips in them ?

Regards,

Bob Dow

Hi Bob,
I still have the seats.  There are no rips or tears although they are a bit dull from being in storage for years.  The chrome on the external hinges is a little pitted, but still presentable.  I got them from Clive York more than 10 years ago when I was running a white 819 sedan (2000 LX) with burgundy interior (which I think you owned at one time - ?).  You would be very welcome to them.

Ian,

I have made my first armchair out of the seats that you kindly gave me,  but I don`t seem able to send you a message with a photo attached from the LMC site.

Could you e-mail me with your e-mail address so that I can reply.

Then I can send you some photos.

Regards,

Bob
