Title: door seals
Post by: chugga boom on 12 August, 2013, 11:46:49 AM
door seals, anyone got any good photos of the seals on aprilia doors, I presume there should be furflex around the trim panels that screw in around and above the door openings, and I can see what seals between the doors but what seals the bottoms of the doors

Hi
The door seals (2nd series) are an unequal rubber 'U' section which are attached by a screw at the top next to the catch on the door and at the bottom by the catch, then stretched around the door frame. Apparently they were not glued.

The only 'seal' on the body is the trim covered seal on the side panel

I have got the new repro section which I haven't fitted yet, Paul bought it from Peter Harding years ago but never fitted. If you want a photo and dimensions I can ask someone to get it from my garage and I can take a photo (still not allowed to climb ladders !)

As Simon said there is a U section fitted all around the door, it's on all series. I did glue mine but with limited success! You can get them from here www.cicognaniguarnizioni.it The U section is 13200170. They also have the T section for the centre seal 13200175 (which as you can see I don't have) and there is another that fits along the edge of the sill 13200168.
