Raise the front axle,which is really only attached to the rest of the car by the steering column.until the body is clear of the trailer. Ben, you are getting worse!!! I would remind you that the usual method of repairing a damaged car by cutting off the crap and welding in a large chunk of another vehicle involves a vertical joint whereas you seem to be going down the horizontal joint route!!! Your post reminds me that I still owe you a dynamo. Also there is a speedometer in AGG which may be a suitable candidate for restoration if you are interested.I only invested in the car for the semaphore indicators and the tail lamp both of which are only just restorable--I hope!! I guess a pm or e-mail would be more appropriate than chatting on here. 2nd post, top photograph ........... the front axle is some 4ft above the front of where the sills should be!!! That is one rusty car !!!! Still, there's nothing like a challenge.
