Title: Great Northern Weekend 4 - 6 April 2014
Post by: stuwilson128 on 11 June, 2013, 04:12:09 PM
I have been working hard to secure the venue for the 2014 GNW.  In order for you to make your plans for next year, I felt that I would give some advance notice!  It will be held on the first weekend in April 2014 at Wetheral near Carlisle.

Booking details will be released soon.

Hi Stuart, have misplaced my latest Viva Lancia-can you confirm hotel venue so that as usual we can try and book interconnecting rooms for the family at the earliest opportunity!

Thanks,

Colin.

Hi Colin,

'New' Beta polished, loaded and ready to go. Bit of that first long run apprehension! 300 miles in next 3 days after 600 miles in 6 years!

An great GNR weekend! The Crown Hotel at Wetheral was a very good base for us, with excellent food and just the right size to make everyone welcome. Thanks Stuart for making all the arrangements work so well - and also thanks to Clive for the Saturday route - the mileage was just right ( not too much for those who came long distances) with plenty of wonderful scenery to enjoy and a great variety of interesting stops - Romans, Pre-Raphaelites and a Vulcan Bomber ! We enjoyed it Lorna & Adrian

Is this the friendliest, best motor club in the world? So I'm planning to go to the Great Northern Weekend but only get as far as our friends in Manchester (our usual stopping post for GNW!) before succumbing to man flu. Result - back down to London and the weekend spent in bed rather than on Hadrian's Wall. Well enough for work Monday morning  :( Then I get home today to find a get well card signed by everyone on the rally. Thank you, you lovely lovely people. ‪#‎LanciaTillIDie‬

We were so disappointed not to be well enough to make the weekend as we always look forward to our favourite event & the opportunity to meet up with so many friends. Despite having had our flu jabs it was very much like flu & we are still feeling rather weak so were much cheered up to receive the card this morning with all those lovely signatures.  Thanks everyone.
