Title: Artena H&H Auction Post by: fay66 on 05 June, 2013, 07:38:44 AM I see there's a nice looking Artena at the H&H Auction at Rockingham Castle on the 18th, with a guideline price of £25k-£35k.

Thanks Don, I thought it looked a rather nice one I wonder what it might have fetched?.Brian 8227 8) Title: Re: Artena H&H Auction Post by: donw on 05 June, 2013, 01:30:57 PM I suspect top estimate less commission and vat i.e. somewhere around 30k.
Don Title: Re: Artena H&H Auction Post by: Sliding Pillar on 05 June, 2013, 06:23:05 PM It might not have been on the road for a long time, but I wouldn't have called it unknown.
Here are a couple of pictures from Oulton Park in 1990. Title: Re: Artena H&H Auction Post by: donw on 20 June, 2013, 11:28:22 AM Now for sale at http://www.tomhardman.co.uk for £55,000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Non original SU carb. Title: Re: Artena H&H Auction Post by: lancialulu on 20 June, 2013, 11:56:59 AM Cant say I have ever seen an SU mounted on its side as the dash pot would loose all its oil. Looks highly suspect...

Certainly does, normally the dashpot relies on gravity for it it to return to its non running position as well (with the help of a spring I think from memory), but cannot be good having it rubbing against the lower part of the cover like that. Wonder if it results in rough running due to friction stopping it moving smoothly? There's a spring in there as well.
What looks odd to me is the two types of front door hinge. I like the number plate being in letter sections. What's that enormous bolt head / rivet head just behind the folded hood?
