Title: Re: Pau April 1956 Post by: GG on 14 February, 2013, 03:14:23 AM not to throw cold water on this, but are you sure of the date? The cars were given away to Ferrari in July 1955, so somehow a 1956 Lancia transporter with a D50 doesn't make a lot of sense....

Pau, a large city in southwest France, is one of the few European venues where, like Monaco, races were held on city streets. The Lancia debuted in late 1954, but it's success was limited. By the time the car was competetive, the competition from Mercedes and Maserati was overwhelming. Lancia also had major financial difficuties.
